"From the very first outset of purchasing our block in the Perth Hills my wife and myself realised that with the steepness of our block and the Flame Zone 100 bushfire attack level ( BAL ) rating on our site this was going to be a difficult, problematic and possibly uneconomical situation in regards to building a new house. We approached “Project Home “ builders but found negative responses to structural, economical, BAL and custom design issues with our build. It just seemed all too hard for them.
Through a friend’s previous experience they recommended us to contact Troy Butcher from Ironstone Homes and we found instantly that Troy had a positive, experienced, very honest no fuss approach to what our issues were, what we may need to do to overcome them and organised very quickly an understandable overview and plan of what lay ahead if we decided to build with Ironstone Homes.
We quickly realised that Troy’s passion was in building custom homes that stand out from the rest through a superb quality build and unique design and style. Troy applied a lot of time and effort into achieving a lowering of our BAL from the highest level ( FZ 100 ) to a BAL 40 which allowed us to build a new home within our budget range.
All through this process we have received an exemplary service ( actually above and beyond our expectations ) from Troy in regards to all aspects of building our house. Not all things go smoothly on a custom build on a steep block in the hills but all issues and obstacles were tackled head on in a professional can do attitude until the desired outcome was achieved.
